“ My daughter and son-in-law were visiting from California, my sister drove to Fort Wayne to have dinner with them while they were here. Both my daughter and my sister are extremely particular about food quality. My sister has one place in Fort Wayne that she normally goes to for eating out, but with our day of plans, we couldn't get in there (BC) so I suggested Proximo. I called and even though they were very busy because it was Homestead's prom night, they were able to get us a great table for 7 at the 5:30 time slot we requested. The staff was so very friendly and the food was so good, I was barely upset that one of our dinners got missed somehow and didn't get to our take until everyone else was finished eating. We had plenty to talk about, so it didn't ruin our time together at all, but I will say I was surprised that they didn't comp that meal since it was so very late to the table. The manager visited our table and apologized, but I was surprised that nothing was offered to compensate for their mistake, not even free desserts or anything. One of the orders of patatas came out a little cold, so they did bring a new batch of those fresh and hot, which we did not ask for, but was a nice gesture, I just felt that the bigger issue of the dinner being 20 minutes late to the table should have been compensated. Maybe they offered to bring fresh patatas because that was a cheaper way to make themselves feel better about the mistake, I'm not sure. Overall though, the food is excellent in quality, taste and presentation, the staff was incredibly kind, personable and made it a very enjoyable evening. We will be back. ”
